The Center for Cardiovascular Research (CCR) at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin is looking for interested and motivated PhD students to do their research in the field of Molecular Cell Biology. Specifically, such candidates should address the role of estrogen receptors in cardiac regeneration using animal models and cell culture systems. 
We offer an opportunity to gain competitive research experience in a modern and challenging research environment with strong interdisciplinary links. The research work is anticipated to take 3 years, part of which (usually 9 months) may be carried out at the universitá Degli Studi di Padova (Italy). 
Candidates should have a solid background in cell biology and molecular biology, as well as the ability to work in a team. We expect highly motivated candidates with a strong enthusiasm for research.
