sjd-med-pharma : senior postdoc/junior group leader in neurophysiology (innsbruck, austria)

A position for a senior post doc or junior group leader (Universitätsassistent) is immediately available for four years at the Division of Physiology, Medical University University Innsbruck (http://physiologie.i-med.ac.at/). This position is part of an international multidisciplinary collaboration to understand the role of proinflammatory cytokines, their receptors and protein-protein interaction networks of downstream signalling components including ion channels in the regulation of the pain system (peripheral and central). 
 
Candidates are expected to have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry and neurophysiology and to have extensive research experience as evidenced by a strong publication record. Experience in heterologous protein expression and analysis of ion channel regulation, brain slice electrophysiology and/or analysis of neuronal signal processing by high resolution fluorescence microscopy is highly desirable. We offer a newly established lab with state of the art equipment, friendly working atmosphere, and an inspiring scientific environment.
