The ISAS $-1òó Institute for Analytical Sciences is located in Dortmund and Berlin. Besides scientific activities in the development of new or improved measuring methods and analytical separation techniques as well as spectroscopy and spectrometric equipment in modern analysis, research is undertaken in the areas of spectroscopic methods and analytical contributions to solving problems in the fields of materials
and life sciences.
The Department of Metabolomics in Dortmund is studying metabolomic processes in different life-science applications. The focus of our analytical tools are IMS, GC/MS, LC/MS/MS and Electrochemistry. For strengthening our project group we are searching for a:
Postdoctoral fellow
The Project:
The cell culture laboratory establishes robust Metabolomics techniques to bridge the gap between the genome, the transcriptome/proteome and the observed cellular phenotype. Our aim is both, quantitative description of target metabolites from biology and medicine and the discovery of reproducible metabolic pattern measurements
in dependence of the cellular background and environmental growth condition.
Your expertise:
The successful candidate will have a strong expertise in one of the following fields: cell biology, immunology, or biochemistry and has extensive experience with cell culture and sample handling techniques. In addition, a well-founded background in mass spectroscopy and data analysis for Metabolomics is appreciated. Excellent oral
and written scientific communication skills are essential.
