Eine mögliche Komplikation der Operation ist die Verschraubung des Fersenbein mit tieferliegenden Knochen. Diese Komplikation soll durch den Einsatz eines intra-operativen 3D C-Bogen noch während der Operation erkannt werden, um sie direkt zu beheben.

within the DFG/NSF‐funded research project “Improving understanding of ice nucleation and growth inhibition mechanisms via new isotopic tracer studies in the AIDA aerosol chamber”. The project will be carried out in close cooperation with the University of Chicago (USA) and the Physikalisch‐Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig. A set of innovative diode laser spectrometers are available for the project.
